African Mission In Somali (AMISOM) Police honored Eight Individual Police Officers (IPOs) from Sierra Leone and Zambia with AU special medals and certificates at a medals parade ceremony held at AMISOM Police Headquarters in Somalia, Mogadishu on September 29, 2019.
The Acting AMISOM Police Commissioner, DCP, Rex Dundun congratulated the medallists upon completion of their tour of duty and thanked the police Contributing countries (PCCs) for seconding competent officers who have contributed immensely to the Mission mandate implementation in Somalia.
The Commissioner commended the officers for the work well done, adding that the Somalis and the senior leadership team will greatly miss their services.
He reiterated that once you put in something great, you have assisted and supported the Somalis in getting back to their feet.
“You have written your name in the annals of the African Union Police in Somalia. You have been identified and recognized in your various areas of expertise”, Said DCP Rex Dundun.
The Coordinator operations, DCP Daniel Gwambal; Coordinator Reforms, Restructuring and Development, ACP Maxwell Chikunguru; the Elections advisor, ACP Anthony Placid; ACP Yuyi Muala and the Acting Coordinator training and Development all graced the ceremony.
