Mission Statement
To prevent and detect crime, and enforce the law firmly and fairly in order to create a safe, secure and peaceful environment for social and economic development for all.
Vision
To be "A professional and accountable Police Service that provides quality law enforcement services for a safer and secure Zambia"
Goal Statement
"To achieve a 50% reduction in the incidence of crime and 60% reduction in other offences by 2016."

Districts
The division currently is administered through two police districts namely Lusaka Urban and Lusaka Rural.
Police Stations
Lusaka Division has 23 Police Stations of which 14 are in Lusaka urban district and 9 in Lusaka Rural district.
Police Posts
The division has 77 Police Posts falling under various Police stations in Rural and Urban Districts.
The division has further endeavoured to attain the following objectives:
1. To attain a zero tolerance to corruption.
2. To attain a zero tolerance to aimed crimes and other related crimes.
3. To maintain quality police service delivery, etc.
