POLICE SERVICE HEADQUARTERS

THE SERVICE TRAFFIC OFFICER (STO)-is the in-charge of The Police Service Traffic. He / She oversees all matters concerning Traffic Department countrywide and is deputized by The Deputy Service Traffic Officer (DSTO). The third in the hierarchy is the Service Traffic Staff Officer who deals with matters of staff and administration nationwide. All Road Traffic Accident Statistics from Provincial Headquarters (Divisions) are finally compiled from Service Headquarters by The Service Traffic Statistics Officer. National Road Safety Awareness Team is responsible for the Road Safety awareness programs countrywide. The National Highway Patrol Team covers the highways nationwide and provides VVIPs and VIPs escorts.

DIVISIONS (PROVINCES)

Traffic Department in Divisions is headed by Divisional Traffic Officers (DTOs) and are deputized by the Deputy Divisional Officers (DDTOs). Traffic Investigations Wing investigates all traffic accidents within the divisions and Process Wing Process all traffic accidents to court.
