TRAINING, RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (TRD)
The Training, Research and Development (TRD), formerly Human Resource Development (HRD), is one of the departments or sections of the Zambia Police Service whose main purpose is to train and develop police officers in order to enhance their performance. The department is currently headed by the Deputy Director, ranked as Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police (SACP) and reports to the Director, Administration.
The main roles of TRD other than training and developing police officers in order to enhance their performance include the following:
