TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

Police Traffic Officers manage traffic by ensuring that there is smooth flow of traffic. According to the traffic act, traffic includes vehicles, pedestrians, processions and bodies of troops and all animals being ridden, driven or led. During pick hours, officers position themselves at junctions, cross roads, traffic lights and roundabouts so that they regulate the flow of traffic evenly. They also lead processions and re-direct oncoming traffic. When there is obstruction on the road or highways, officers clear such obstruction.
