Mwense Police Station
This station is headed by an Assistant Superintendent. The station provides security to the communities in the district. It has two operational police posts which are Kashiba and Lukwesa border post. Other area of activity is Chipili police post although is has been upgraded to a district.
Kawambwa Police Station
This station is headed by an Assistant Superintendent. The station has two police posts which are Mwansabombwe and Mushota police posts. Mwansabombwe is now a district and will soon be upgraded to a police station once infrastructure is put up.
Nchelenge Police Station
Nchelenge district extends from Kasempa in the south bordering with Kawambwa to Kafulwe which borders with Chiengi district. The area covers about 150 square kilometres. There are three main islands on the Lake Mweru. The district also borders with the Democratic Republic of Congo (Katanga Province) on the western side. The station has two police posts, Mununga and Chiengi police posts. Chiengi has been upgraded to a district hence once infrastructure is built, the post will be upgraded to a police station.
Kaputa Police Station
This station is headed by an Assistant Superintendent. Administratively, it is managed by Luapula Province Police but geographically, it is situated in Northern Province. Northern Province has not been able to manage this station due to long distance from Kasama. It is nearer to Mansa than Kasama.
Lunga Police Post
This is also one of the newly created districts. Initially, it was part of Samfya district. There are no police structures yet. The larger part of this district is covered with water and swamps.
Milenge Police Post
This police post is headed by an Inspector. This post is under the administration of Samfya Police station. Milenge still has a police post status even if it is an independent district because it lack police infrastructure.
Chembe Police Post
Chembe Police Post is headed by a Chief Inspector. It falls under Mansa Police Station. It is situated at the border with the Democratic republic of Congo (DRC) on the south.
Mwansabombwe Police Post
Mwansabombwe Police Post is now being headed by an Assistant Superintendent as it has been given a status of a district. The post is situated in Chief Mwata Kazembe’s village. Security provision is also extended to the borders between Zambia and DRC. The post falls under Kawambwa Police Station.
Chipili Police Post
Chipili is a newly created district. Construction of police infrastructure has commenced.
Nsama Police Post
Nsama is also a newly created district. The police post operates under the supervision of Kaputa Police Station. Geographically, the post is situated in Northern Province.
